PRE-ORDER: Foundations of Global Birthwork

This course invites you to zoom out so you can zoom in. You will explore the foundation on which modern birthwork stands, from the anthropology of the mother to trauma informed care to global birth practices. Together we build a clear picture of how birth is shaped by culture, systems, history, and community. You are encouraged to understand the birth culture you live in and, most importantly, how to be of service within it. By the end of this course, you will have a strong understanding of what birthwork requires emotionally, culturally, and practically, and how to show up with steadiness and respect.
